Fondo Socioambiental del Perú supports locally-led efforts toward conservation and sustainable development
Fondo Socioambiental del Perú (Socio-Environmental Fund of Peru) promotes and finances Indigenous community projects and grassroots organizations working in support of vulnerable and historically marginalized populations in Peru. They support initiatives that help conserve nature, defend Indigenous lands, protect cultural identities, and advance social justice and sustainable development.
“By empowering Indigenous communities, we advance socio-environmental justice by protecting Peru's biodiversity and restoring the balance between people and nature. We recognize the vital role these communities play, as their practices of buen vivir safeguard approximately 80% of the world's most biodiverse forests. Every project we support is a significant step toward a more just, equitable, and sustainable future for generations to come. This is our commitment."

Executive Director, Fondo Socioambiental del Perú

Global Greengrants funds intersectional community-led efforts to protect local food, water, and resources
Global Greengrants Fund believes that the people who know best how to address social and environmental injustice are those most affected by it. Through a decentralized grantmaking model, they work with regional and local advisory boards to get resources directly into the hands of people on the frontline, so communities can protect the health of their livelihoods, ecosystems, and rights to land, food, water, and resources. Global Greengrants Fund works in some of the remotest corners of the world, and is the first funder for at least 40% of their grantees.
"Panta Rhea's commitment to helping communities build power in the climate space sets it apart from other private family foundations. Climate work is inherently linked to racial, gender, and other social inequalities. While funding typically remains segregated—creating a major barrier to progress—Panta Rhea takes a systems-thinking approach that recognizes these interconnections. By centering communities—and specifically Indigenous peoples, women and gender-diverse individuals, and people with disabilities—their approach creates more effective, equitable solutions that benefit those most impacted by climate change."

Fresh Milk Barbados connects and supports Caribbean artists, and raises regional awareness of contemporary arts
Fresh Milk offers Caribbean artists residencies, conferences, and other resources—including, local, regional, and international lectures, screenings, fellowships, workshops, and exhibitions—that foster a thriving local art-activism community. With a focus on contemporary visual arts, the organization spans creative disciplines, generations, and linguistic territories while engaging with its diaspora and international collaborators.
"I took part in the inaugural Lucayan Archipelago Residency facilitated by Panta Rhea. Over two months, I was able to collaborate with Jocmarys Viruet Feliciano, a brilliant artist from the Spanish-speaking Caribbean who was equally concerned with the reboundability of our small islands from the unhalting threat of hurricanes and sea level rise. It was such a unique project, which I credit for expanding the horizon of my own eco-conscious creative work."
